The short version

Measurements, photographs, hunter details, guides, outfitters, and places stay on the phone unless you choose to share a form, a sheet, or a card. Product counts that leave the phone are species, method, continent, and whether a score met a published minimum. Not your name. Not the place. Not the score. Not the photograph.

Hunter Details

Hunter Details is the profile used to fill a record-book entry form. It can hold your name, SCI membership number, phone, email, street address, city, state or region, zip, country, and the submission types you prefer. Every field is optional.

That profile stays on the phone. It is not uploaded, not used for analytics, and not shared by the app. The in-app line is the policy: this information stays on your phone. It is not shared.

The name, phone, email, and address rows can offer the iPhone’s own keyboard suggestions. That is Apple, on the device, filling a field you tapped. Trophy Score does not read your contacts, and it does not send that suggestion anywhere.

Deleting the app deletes the profile with the book, unless you have already saved a copy.

Guides and outfitters

Guide and hunting company are free-text fields on Hunt Details. If you have typed a name on this phone before, the field can suggest it. Suggestions are the distinct names already saved on this phone, most recent first. A tap fills the field. Nothing is filled in silence.

The app does not import contacts. A guide’s name is not a contact card, and it is not sent to Trophy Score. The same is true of the outfitter. Those names are also kept off the public counters and off the marketing site.

A suggestion exists only because you typed it on a prior trophy on this phone. Clear the book, or delete the app without a backup, and the suggestions go with it.

Record book forms

The submission PDF is built on the phone. It is the entry form for that method: the measurements, left and right, the fraction as entered, and the hunter, measurer, and affidavit blocks. Hunter Details and Hunt Details are printed on it only so the form is complete. The casual sheet is a separate page for personal record keeping. Neither file is uploaded to Trophy Score.

Building the PDF can record that a form was made, with the species id, the method, and whether the score met a published minimum. The form itself does not go with that event. There is no copy on a server to retrieve, and no copy for us to read.

The form leaves the phone only if you share it. Where it goes is whoever you pick in the iPhone share sheet. If you mail it to a record book, that organization receives what you sent, under their own policy, not this one.

Sharing

Three things can leave the phone, and only when you ask.

Submit builds the entry PDF and opens the system share sheet. Mail, Files, and the other destinations are Apple’s. Trophy Score does not run its own mail service and does not keep a copy of what you send.

Sheet is the one-page camp or record keeping sheet. Same share sheet. Same rule.

Card is a picture for Photos and the share sheet. It is the photograph you attached, the species, and the score. Place and your name stay off unless you turn them on. No photograph, and the card is the number on a dark field. It never uses a stock animal. The app does not post it. There is no Instagram connection and no social account.

A card can record that one was built, with a species id and a continent. Not the photograph, not the score, not the place, not your name. Saving to Photos puts the picture in your library, under Apple’s control.

Statistics

My Statistics is counted on the phone from the book already stored there. Country is the country you typed on Hunt Details. Species, method, and continent come from the trophy. A record-book count includes only scores the app can mark as qualifying. Animals with no published floor, and closed categories, are not counted as qualifies.

Those totals are not uploaded. They are not the public counters on the site. The site, if it shows a count at all, shows anonymous product totals: animals scored, by continent and species, and how many met a published minimum. It does not show your book, your countries, your guides, or your scores.

What can leave the phone

Two kinds of report can leave, and only in a build where that reporting is turned on. Neither one is the hunt.

A count can go out when you save a score, build a form, or make a card. It may name the species, the method, the continent you picked, the weapon, and whether the score met a published minimum. A card or a form can also note that you finished a share sheet, or dismissed it. Not the score itself, not the place, not a guide, not the photograph. A random marker on the phone keeps a repeat save from being counted twice. It is not your Apple ID and not your name. If the phone has no service, those counts wait and send later. The wait holds 200 counts, not trophies.

If the app crashes, a report can name the screen, the method, the species, and the app version. It does not film the screen. It does not name you. Names, guides, places, photographs, and scores are removed before it is sent

Photographs and the copy you keep

A photograph stays on the phone. You crop it before it saves. Save a copy writes a file of the book and the photographs, and Restore puts that file back on a phone. There is no online book and no login. If you hand that file to someone, they have what you handed them.

What we do not do

We do not sell personal information. We do not run ads. We do not ask for an account. We do not track you across other companies’ apps. The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

You can save three trophies before a purchase. After that, a continent is a one-time purchase through the App Store, not a subscription. Apple handles the payment. Trophy Score does not receive your card. Buying a continent unlocks scoring for animals taken there. Awards stay visible either way.
